Task reminders where you already work

Task Reminders is a lightweight to-do list that lives in DevToolkit, right in your browser toolbar. Add what you need to do, set when you want to be reminded, and Chrome shows a desktop notification at that time, even if the popup is closed. No app to install, no account to create, no sync to set up.

Everything a reminder needs, nothing more

  • Title and note: what to do, plus an optional note with a link or details.
  • Date and time: when to remind you, or no reminder for plain to-dos.
  • Priority: High, Normal or Low, so the important things stand out.
  • Repeat: no repeat, daily or weekly, for stand-ups, reports and routines.

See what matters now

Switch between All, Today, Upcoming, Overdue, Pending and Completed views to focus on what is due. Overdue tasks are easy to spot, and marking a task done moves it out of the way without losing it.

Why keep reminders in the browser?

Most of a developer’s or marketer’s day happens in Chrome. A reminder that pops up there, on the screen you are already looking at, is harder to miss than one buried in a phone. It is ideal for small, time-bound jobs: deploy at 5 pm, follow up with a client tomorrow morning, renew a domain next week, check the analytics every Monday.

Who uses it

  • Developers remembering deploys, reviews and stand-ups.
  • Freelancers keeping track of client follow-ups and invoices.
  • QA testers scheduling checks after a release.
  • Anyone who wants a quiet nudge without another app.

Your tasks are stored in your browser only. Make sure Chrome is allowed to show notifications in your system settings so reminders can appear.

Tip: Open the DevToolkit popup and press R to add a reminder in a few seconds.

Task Reminders questions

Is Task Reminders free?

Yes. It is part of DevToolkit's free plan.

Do reminders work when the popup is closed?

Yes. Reminders are scheduled in the background, so the notification appears at the right time as long as Chrome is running.

Why didn't my notification appear?

Check that Chrome is allowed to show notifications in your computer's settings, and that Focus or Do Not Disturb mode is off.

Are my tasks synced to other devices?

No. Tasks are stored in this browser only, which keeps them private. Use DevToolkit's backup in Settings to move them to another computer.
