An element remover for cleaner pages and safer screenshots
Element Remover lets you take anything off a web page in one click. Move your mouse over the page and each element is outlined as you go. Click it, and it is gone. Choose whether to hide it, remove it completely, or blur it so it stays in place but cannot be read.
Changes only happen in your browser tab. The website is not touched, and nobody else sees a difference.
Three ways to clear a page
- Hide (H): makes the element invisible but keeps its space, so the layout stays as it was.
- Remove (R): takes the element out completely, and the page closes up around it.
- Blur (B): keeps the element in place but blurs it, ideal for names, emails, prices or account numbers in a screenshot.
Select exactly what you mean
The outline shows what will be affected before you click. Hold Shift while clicking, or right-click, to step up to the parent element when you want the whole box rather than the text inside it. For repeating items, type a CSS selector to hide, remove or blur every match at once.
Quick clean-ups
One click handles the usual suspects: hide all fixed and sticky elements, all images, common ad blocks, or floating popups. The ad clean-up looks for real ad markers, so ordinary parts of the page with words like “read more” are left alone.
Undo, restore and export
Every change is listed, and each one has a Restore button. Ctrl+Z undoes the last one. When you have a set of rules you want to keep, export them as a CSS file to use in a stylesheet or a user-style extension.
Who uses it
- Anyone taking screenshots for documentation, bug reports or social media without clutter or private data.
- Readers clearing away overlays and sticky bars to read in peace.
- Designers and developers testing how a page looks without a section.
- Presenters preparing a clean page before a demo.
Tip: Blur private details, then use Full Page Screenshot. The blur shows up in the capture.

Element Remover questions
Is Element Remover free?
Element Remover is part of DevToolkit Pro, a one-time payment from $25 with no subscription.
Are the changes permanent?
No. They only apply to your current tab and disappear when you reload. Export them as CSS if you want to reuse them.
What is the difference between hide and remove?
Hide makes an element invisible but leaves its space, so nothing moves. Remove takes it out completely, so the content below moves up.
Is it an ad blocker?
Not exactly. The Ads quick action hides common ad blocks on the page you are looking at, but it does not stop ads from loading or block trackers.
