Sticky Notes

Pin sticky notes to any web page, or to a whole website. They stay where you put them and come back every time you visit.

  • Runs in your browser
  • Opens on the page

Sticky notes that stay on the page

Sticky Notes lets you stick a note right on a web page, exactly where you need it. Write a reminder on a dashboard, leave yourself instructions on an admin screen, or jot feedback next to a section of a client’s site. The next time you open that page, your note is waiting in the same place.

For one page, or the whole site

  • Add note to this page: the note appears only on that exact page.
  • Add note to entire website: the note appears on every page of the site, handy for logins, house rules or account details you always need.

Make them yours

Drag a note anywhere on the page and resize it to fit. Pick from five colours, yellow, pink, blue, green and purple, to sort notes by topic or urgency. Minimise a note to a small tab when it is in the way, and expand it again when you need it.

All your notes in one place

The Sticky Notes screen in the DevToolkit popup lists every note across every site, with search, so you can find that comment you left weeks ago. Delete the notes on a single page, or clear everything in one go. Export your notes as JSON to keep a backup or move them to another computer.

Who uses it

  • Developers leaving reminders on staging sites, admin panels and dashboards.
  • Designers and reviewers noting feedback right where it applies.
  • Researchers and shoppers annotating articles and product pages.
  • Support teams keeping steps next to the tools they use.

Your notes are private. They are stored in your browser and only you can see them; the website and its other visitors never do.

Tip: Use a site-wide note on admin dashboards for the steps you always forget.

Sticky Notes questions

Are Sticky Notes free?

Sticky Notes is part of DevToolkit Pro, a one-time payment from $25 with no subscription.

Can other people see my notes?

No. Notes are stored in your browser and shown only to you. The website is not changed.

Do notes sync between computers?

Not automatically. Export them as JSON, or use DevToolkit's Backup & Restore, to move them to another computer.

Why can't I add a note on some pages?

Browser pages, the Chrome Web Store and a few protected pages do not allow extensions to add anything, so notes cannot be placed there.
