Screenshot Editor

  • Fixed Screenshot Editor is now the default experience for all users. After every capture, your screenshot opens directly in the editor so you can crop, annotate, and save before downloading.
  • Fixed an issue where the editor sometimes showed a previous screenshot instead of the latest capture.

Search

  • Starred tools are now hidden while searching so results appear cleanly without anything in the way. They return automatically when the search is cleared.

  • Fixed an issue where some sections of the page were being cut or broken in full-page screenshots.

Screenshot Editor

  • Screenshot Editor (Beta) is now the default mode for all users. After capturing a screenshot, it opens automatically in the editor.
  • Fixed the Ruler tool — measurements were disappearing when switching to another tool. Ruler now has an Apply button to keep the measurement permanently.

Color Picker

  • Fixed color copying not working on some websites.
  • Fixed color picker returning incorrect colors on some websites.
  • Fixed color history not saving after picking a color.

Debug Panel

  • Cache is now the only option checked by default. Cookies and localStorage are no longer pre-selected to prevent accidental data loss.

  • Screenshot
    The full-page screenshot tool has been completely rebuilt from scratch.
    Three capture options are now available, full page (recommended), legacy, and visible area only.
    Screenshots now correctly hide floating elements like chat widgets, cookie banners, and scroll-to-top buttons. 
    PDF added as an export format alongside PNG and JPEG.
  • Screenshot Editor (Beta)
    After capturing a screenshot, you can now open it in a full editing view before saving. Enable it in Settings → Capture → After Capture.
    Everyone gets: rename, download, copy to clipboard, print, and save as PNG, JPEG, or PDF.
    Pro users get additional editing tools: crop with draggable handles, highlight pen, blur and redact sensitive areas, pixel ruler, shape drawing (rectangle, circle, arrow, line), and text labels. 
  • Mockup Generator
    Device mockups now show a taller, richer screenshot of the website instead of just the visible area. 
    Drop shadow now works correctly on light backgrounds.
    Default background changed to light, cleaner and more professional out of the box.
    New mockup settings added: choose how many frames to capture, set the delay between frames, and control whether the page scrolls back to the top after capture.

    New “After Capture” option — choose between instant download or opening the Screenshot Editor after every capture.

  • Color Palette and Typography in Inspector — Scan Page button inside the CSS Inspector extracts all colors used on the page as clickable swatches and lists all fonts with their size ranges and weights.
  • SEO Report PDF Export — Download PDF button in the SEO panel exports a formatted A4 report with all sections, score, and a DevToolkit header.

Improvements

  • Font Detector downloads now only fetch the weights actually used on the page and the Latin character subset only — reducing downloads from 10–20 files to 1–4 files named by weight (e.g. Inter-400.woff2, Inter-700.woff2).
  • Mockup Generator Re-capture button removed — it was capturing the wrong tab (the panel itself). Capture now always happens correctly from the popup.
  • Debug panel — Custom Code tabs now save content independently. Switching between JS, CSS, and HTML tabs no longer shares or clears other tabs’ content.
  • Settings — all inline onclick handlers replaced with proper event listeners to comply with Manifest V3 Content Security Policy.

Fixes

  • refreshShotBadge no longer throws “is not defined” on popup open — screenshot.js now self-initialises the badge after loading.
  • Settings page sidebar logo link no longer throws a Content Security Policy violation.
